William is responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and daily operations of New Lake Peer Support Ltd. He began his journey with the organisation in 2017 as a volunteer, later becoming a support worker. A proud graduate of the University of Newcastle, William also practised as a lawyer while maintaining his close ties with New Lake Peer Support. He brings diverse leadership experience from both the legal and disability care sectors, guided by a deep commitment to inclusion and community.
Leadership Team
Leesa assists in the management and operation of New Lake Peer Support while coordinating a range of centre-based groups, as well as all social and recreational programs. She brings over 16 years of experience in the disability sector, including 8 years in senior management, along with comprehensive experience across both frontline, face-to-face support and service delivery.
Leesa is deeply passionate about her work and is driven by a commitment to ensuring the people we support have access to meaningful opportunities, high-quality care, and the support they need to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Sallyanne has more than 30 years working in the disability sector. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Dip Ed); Diploma in Community Services (Case coordination), Disability and also Auslan. Sallyanne assists participants to coordinate and implement services and supports in their NDIS Plan.
Susan is responsible for the co-ordination of day programs. She has been at New Lake since 2003 and has worked in a number of positions across the organisation and was appointed to the position of Day Program Co-ordinator in 2014.
Melissa is our Accommodation Manager, bringing over 15 years of experience in the NDIS space, with a passion for Supported Independent Living (SIL), respite, and disability accommodation.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Diploma in community Services and many certificates in care roles. Melissa is passionate about creating welcoming, comfortable homes where participants can thrive. Melissa is committed to helping people live their best lives through person-centred support. A talented all-rounder, she also has skills in carpentry, sewing, and home maintenance, making her our resident handywoman.
